Hi Friends,
In 2001, I left my home in Virginia to join the U.S. Coast Guard, beginning a 25-year journey that took me across the country and around the world. One of the best moments along the way came in 2013, when I returned from a tour in the Middle East and met my wife, Christiane, right here in Charleston. For Christiane and our four boys—Eli, Landon, Tommy, and Charlie—Charleston has always been home. Now, as I prepare to retire from active duty this October, our family is finally settling down in the Low Country for good. This next chapter is a new mission for us: putting down roots and becoming part of the area we’ve always loved. Owning a small business has been a lifelong dream, and when the opportunity to continue the Rustic Muffin legacy appeared, we knew it was the right fit. We’re committed to giving back—supporting local families, schools, military members, and the organizations that make this community feel like home. Rustic Muffin isn’t just a business for us; it’s a way to invest in the place that has shaped our family’s story.
